Stop, Pause

When you take one step towards God, He will make two steps towards you.  That is good news today when sometimes we feel that one step is all that we have left.  Be thankful for the things that you have, and don’t let anyone come between you and your faith!  God has so much more in store for you.  He wants the best for you so everyday try to be at your best.

Good day to you all!  As you make your way through your day try to find as many blessings as possible.  You will be amazed at what you find!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9
In both the good and the bad there is a reason to be glad.  In today’s fast paced world sometimes it is good to stop, pause, and look around at what god has blessed us with.  Sometimes it can be easy to take the little things for granted. However, something that you call little may be huge to someone else.  I never really had a grandmother or a grandfather in my life.  I used to listen to classmates who would speak about the relationships they had with their grandparents.  Once I heard someone speak some very unappreciative words about their grandparents and I found myself becoming upset with them.  They were complaining about the meal that their grandmother had prepared for Sunday dinner.  I had to remind them of how fortunate they were to have a grandmother who loved them enough to prepare a meal for them in the first place.  They had to stop, pause, and realize that they were indeed privileged and blessed.
Dear Reader, I want to encourage you to stop, and pause.  I want you to take a few moments when you are stuck in traffic to get over the fact that you aren’t moving, and thank God that you have transportation.  The next time that you are in the grocery store, don’t concentrate on how long the lines are, thank God that you have money to buy groceries. When you change the way that you think about your circumstances, your circumstances will change. When you are in the middle of complaining try to stop, pause, and look around at your blessings.  You will feel better about your life.  God is with you!
You are beautiful, loved, and blessed
