Still

Your beauty is on purpose so don’t let anyone or anything try to convince you that you are not what God made you to be.  I know that sometimes the mirror seems like your enemy, but if you look past what you don’t like and look at the goodness that God put in you, your reflection will be your best friend.  Stay focused on what you have, and the have not’s will not seem as important!

Good day to you all!  Today is another opportunity for you to touch someone that needs a human understanding.  Today is another opportunity to for you to uplift someone that is feeling down.  Let today be the day that you do unto others as God has done unto you.

Superman is an American icon.  He has been nicknamed the man of steel.  In both the comic books and the movies, Superman is unstoppable and is able to do almost anything.  He can fly through the sky.  If you shoot at him the bullets will bounce off of his chest.  He is strong enough to pick up a car or a bus.  When he is not saving lives, Superman hides his identity by assuming the role of Clark Kent.  However, once there is a call for help, or there is a disaster approaching, Clark Kent does a quick change and becomes Superman.  The only thing that can stop Superman is Kryptonite. Kryptonite leaves Superman powerless. His enemies know this and they use this knowledge to their advantage.  Out of the range of the Kryptonite Superman is indeed just that he is a superman.  He is the man of Steel.

Dear Reader, Jesus is a biblical icon.  I often refer to Him as the man of still.  I would like to offer evidence to you on this day that my man of still, is better than the fictional man of steel.  Jesus is the unstoppable force that told Lazarus to walk out of his grave after he had been dead and buried for two days.  Jesus told the cripple man to get up and walk, He put some mud on the blind man’s eyes so that he could see again.  Don’t you know that sometimes God has to make things a little muddy so that you can see things clearly sometimes? Jesus didn’t need acts of strength to show His power, He only needed acts of faith.  His faith in the Father was as strong as steel, but I call Him the man of still because He told the storm, “Peace be still”.  I must say that there have been times in my life that I have been in the middle of the storm and a small still voice simply said “Peace be still” and the storm became quiet.  He lived on earth so long ago, but when it comes to performing miracles He is STILL making the impossible possible.  When I was living my life outside of His word He loved me still.  Sometimes when I don’t know what to do in a situation He tells me to be still.  I don’t know if I have given you enough to go on.  I don’t know if I have presented a strong enough argument this morning.  Let me give you the other side Dear Reader. He is all powerful, however, Dear Reader, the one thing that can cancel out His power in your life is a lack of faith.  A lack of faith is just like Kryptonite to Superman.  He cannot bless you, or quiet your storms if you do not put all of your faith in Him.  Your enemies know this and will do what they have to do to shake your faith. I want to encourage you to put your faith in God, and when you do, put your enemies on high alert because you have an unstoppable force on your side.  He is able to leap over death in a single bound.  Able to go to Calvary and carry the sins of the world on His shoulders.  He is Jesus Christ the man of Still.  Keep your faith in the Father as strong as steel and God will show you that He loves you…..still.

You are beautiful, you are so loved, and you are indeed blessed
