“For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son”

Whitney Houston once sang the lyrics, “How will I know if he really loves me”, and it’s a fair question to ask. However on this today I want you to rejoice in the fact that love leaves its fingerprint where ever it goes.  There is no where that love walks that it does not leave a big and lasting footprint.  Love cannot leave an anonymous tip, and love cannot be conquered.  Love is always victorious and love does not lose. Love is God’s perfect gift.

If you look at love as I have described it you realize that Jesus was love in the form of a human being. Everywhere that Jesus went he left evidence of his love where ever He went. He fed the hungry and he healed the sick. As Jesus performed his miracles people began to know His name, He was not anonymous and He showed that He could not be conquered. And just when those that hated Him without cause thought that they had Him dead and buried, Jesus arose and showed that even over death love does not lose and in the name of love we will have the victory.

Decades later I answer Whitney’s question: You will know he loves you when you don’t have to ask.  I hope that on this day you will take encouragement from the fact that God loves you and with His love you can be victorious in whatever you do.  The greatness and power or God’s perfect gift of love is already in you.  The victory is yours.
