Repairs Needed

“Wednesday is the third step in our seven day walk that we call a week”.

Welcome back! I hope and pray that each of you has the most wonderful day today.

I am firm believer that Love conquers all. God sent His only begotten son to conquer sin, and death, and give us the victory over all things that dare stand against us.  However I do know that sometimes we can experience heartbreak in our everyday dealing with people.  The man or woman that you loved with all of your heart betrayed you, or the job that you had been at for many years all of a sudden let you go.  A person that you thought was a friend lied on you, or  put your business out for anyone to find out about what you thought was private. Trust me, I have been there.  It is at these moments that our hearts “break” and we are left dealing with the rejection and the betrayal that we did not see coming.  I am not going to tell you that these things won’t happen, but I will tell you that your heart can be healed if you trust in the one that will not reject you and can never betray you. When Jesus left the earth to go back to heaven He left the Holy Spirit as a comforter, and promised that He would be with us always.

There was a man that was given a special clock when he was a child.  This was special had crafted clock that had many parts and kept very precise time. Growing up he loved the clock and always kept it in his room on a shelf. As he grew up and moved on in life he took the clock with him, but as he grew up he was not as careful with it, and he found that it was not keeping time the way that it used to.  One day he found that the clock was broken.  He searched the phone book for anyone that could fix the clock, some said it was too old, some said that it was too complicated.  All looked at it but none could fix it.  The man was about to give up when he ran across an old repair shop.  He walked in not really expecting much, but was shocked by what he saw.  It was a whole shop full of clocks just like his.  He asked the old man behind the counter how he had acquired so many of these clocks, and if he could repair his. The shop owner looked at him and said, “I am the one that made these clocks, and if I made them, surely I can repair yours.” God is waiting on us to come into his shop with our disappointments and setbacks and hurts so that He, the one that made us, can repair our broken clocks.

I pray for all of you that God repair your hearts, because just like a broken clock, you don’t know the time that you are missing.

Be blessed
