I Saw The Sign

Praise His name for all things because all things work together for your good!  The rain is not meant to hinder you, it is only meant to wash away anything that is in your way.  The clouds are not meant to deter you, they are only there to provide you shade and cool you off.  Those speed bumps are not there to stop your trip, they are meant to slow you down because God does not want you to miss something along the way.  Today is your day, and you are the best you that there ever will be!  Praise His name today!

Good day to you all! You are in the midst of a miracle!  It may not look like the miracle.  You may not feel as though you are in the midst of anything, but God works behind the scenes, and miracles often have modest beginnings, so be encouraged today that there is a turnaround coming your way!

So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.”  John 4:48

There was an elderly woman named Mary who lived alone, and she was a devoted church member. Every morning she would wake up and sing a song of praise. She suddenly grew very ill, and had to be hospitalized.  The nurses on duty noticed that every morning when the sun came up they could hear Mary singing and praising God. Mary’s condition grew worse, but no matter what the doctors told her, when the sun came up Mary would be singing.  One day there was an terrible storm.  Thunder clapped and there was lightning all over the sky.  The hospital staff did not expect to hear Mary on this day.  The day before the doctor had given her a prognosis that was not good, and now there was a bad storm keeping the sun from coming out. To the shock of the nurses and doctors on staff, they heard Mary loud and clear praising the Lord.  One nurse was confused.  She asked Mary, ”The doctor has not given you any good news since you have been here, and on top of that when you look out the window the sun is not even shining today.”  Mary smiled at the young nurse and said, “Yes, the doctor has told me some things about my condition that don’t sound good, but my GOOD news comes from the Lord, and yes I usually wake up to a beautiful sunrise, and I sing God’s praises for that every day.  But today, I saw the sign.  If you look out the window, it doesn’t look good, but if you look at the window, and see that the windowsill makes a cross , then you will know why I am singing today.  God is my protector from the storm.  I prayed that God send me a signal to let me know that I was going to be alright, and I saw the sign.  I opened up my eyes and saw the sign!”

Dear Reader I want to encourage you to have the same resolve as Mary in the story above.  I want to encourage you  to see the signs of God’s love, and God’s mercy.  It may be storming on the outside, but God has got you covered on the inside.  The world may have bad news for you, but Jesus is alive and that is some good news.  The news report may seem bleak, but your praise report should run 24 hours a day 7 days a week! When I think about how good the Lord has been to me, I could praise Him in the sunlight, I could praise Him in a hurricane.  Through better or worse, in sickness and in health I will praise His name.  Dear Reader when you open up your eyes and see the signs of God’s goodness, His grace and His mercy, you might confuse some people.  People may be expecting you just to smile only when things are good.  God is working through your circumstance Dear Reader, so I want to encourage you to smile.  Jesus is alive!  The world tried to give me a bad prognosis.  They said I wouldn’t amount to anything.  They said that I didn’t know the right people.  All I could do is close my eyes and  pray, and I am here to testify that I opened up my eyes and saw the sign.  God is with you Dear Reader.  Don’t let what is going on outside keep you from praising God for what He has done the inside.
